Kitchen Counter

What is the first thing you see when you go inside the kitchen? Is it the appliances? Or is it the cabinets? Chances are that you will have a perception of appliances or color of cabinets, but you will look directly at kitchen countertop. So if you are remodeling or want to build a brand new kitchen, first think of the kitchen counter.

First divide your budget to three parts: one for appliances, one for cabinets, and the last but not least for counter top. The appliance cost is easiest to check, you can go to stores or go online and check prices for different type of appliances. For countertop there are not many types, there are a large selection for each type, but prices do not change much. So you can have your price range. With these prices you can approach cabinet makers to choose your cabinet. This process helps you choose your type of kitchen counter.

Kitchen Counter Ideas

We at Euro Design Center, with more than 30 years in designing Kitchen counter in Washington DC Metro area, including Maryland, and Virginia (DC, MD, VA), has tried a lot to make our customers kitchen counter ideas into realities. There are a lot of kitchen counter ideas to make your kitchen what customers want. A cozy, warm family place or a cutting edge avant-garde exhibition. There are a lot of parameters, but the two most important is material and shape.

There are traditional material, like laminate which has low and high price type, or stone which tends more to the high price. There are a range of new material with both low and high prices that open the door to a lot of new possibilities in kitchen counter ideas. They can be used even together with traditional material like laminate or steel. The traditional shapes are rectangle and circle, then we add ellipses, but now we see many designs with freehand shapes. We have not seen this new shapes in a closet, wardrobe or home office, but they have been present in kitchen counter for some time.
